Charles E. Wilkins, Jr. age 89 of Havana, died Saturday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Russellville. He was born July 21, 1922 in Havana, Arkansas to the late Charles E. "Bill" Wilkins, Sr. and Bermel Swilling Wilkins. He was a teacher for Havana High School, a retired farmer, and a member of the Danville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Wilkins and his parents. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Lonnie Kennedy of Russellville; son and daughter-in-law, Charley and Elaine Wilkins of Fort Smith; grandchildren, Cara Manon Arnold of Kibler, Arkansas, Jason Kennedy and Melissa Duvall of Russellville, Scott Kennedy of Costa Mesa, California; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Havana Cemetery with Rev. Tom Sullinger officiating. Visitation will be Monday 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
