Chesley "J.C." Nuckols, age 85 of Dardanelle, went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2025, at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center. He was surrounded by his family as he took his last breath on earth and his first breath in heaven. He was born on August 18, 1940, to the late Chesley and Katie Watts Nuckols in Keiser, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Nina Cain, Christine Davenport, Dorothy Nuckols, and two brothers, Harlon and Marshall Nuckols.
He lived his life as a carpenter and jack of all trades. He loved spending time outdoors, mainly camping at Sweeden Island Park where he loved trotline fishing with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Wilma Pearl Gist Nuckols, two daughters, Sherry and Robert Fowler, Teresa and James Parsons; and one son, Chesley Paul and Rhonda Nuckols; seven grandchildren, Lance and Justin Fowler, Cody and Cory Parsons, ShyAnn, Mitchell, and Alyssa Nuckols, and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Grandson Cody Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery off Highway 22, Dardanelle.
