Christopher Bates age 66 of Dardanelle passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at River Valley Hospice Home. He was born August 13, 1954 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Clifton Bates and Virginia McHenry. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dalyann Bates and one brother, Sherman Bates.

Survivors include his wife Kristy Hittle Bates; one son, Christopher Michael Bates; one daughter, Sarah Marie Whorton; three grandchildren; Logan James Galusha, Katerina Hope Whorton and Bella Marie Whorton of London, Arkansas, mother and father-in-law, Charles and Holly Hittle of Dardanelle, Arkansas.
