Junior Crawford Claud L. Crawford Jr., 85, of Dardanelle went home to be with his Lord on Dec.4 2012. He was born March 3rd 1927 in Atkins, AR to Claud Lee Crawford Sr. and Mary Haralson Crawford. Junior was a member of The First Free Will Baptist Church in Dardanelle where he was an ordained deacon for over forty years. He retired from AP&L after 35 years of dedicated service. He was a veteran of WWII and was a retired member of the Dardanelle City Fire Department. Junior had the heart of a servant. He was happiest when working and doing for others. He was the true patriarch of his family and was loved by many. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids as well as extended family. Junior is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Edmon Crawford, and Donal Crawford. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lola Fink Crawford; two children, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Tonnie Crawford; his daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Rodney Mondey; five grandchildren, Kim Olson and her husband Kurt, Lynn Crawford and his wife Tricia, Dustin Ford and his wife Jennifer, Jennifer Moore and her husband Fabian, and Staci Ford; great-grandchildren, Logan, Morgan, A.J., Lauren, Lindsey, Alex, Maddie, Eli, Tarin, Austin, MaryJane, Chase, and Mazee, and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at Dardanelle First Free Will Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by Rev. David Riker, Rev. David Bishop, Rev. Jared Higginbotham, and his grandson Rev. Lynn Crawford. Burial will be at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle. Pallbearers will be Larry Taylor, Aaron Beam, Jason Beam, Tom Miller, Chris Myers, and Kenny Biggs.
