Clayton Johnny Rice age 77 of Danville passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Perryville Nursing Home in Perryville.

He was born in Rover, Arkansas on March 30, 1942 to the late Opal & Chloe Wheeler Rice. He had worked for Ben Franklin Co & later JoAnn Co. for several years before moving back to Danville and later to Dardanelle. He then worked at Hobby Lobby until his retirement, He began his nursing center residency in Lamar, in 2013 and later moved to the Perryville Nursing Home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Doris Rice, and Brenda Chambers; brothers, Jimmy Rice, Alvin Rice and Opal Rice

He is survived by brothers, Charlie Rice of Danville and Kenneth Rice of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephew.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Dardanelle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Hunts Cemetery in Rover.
