Clenton Gist age 81of Centerville past away Friday, December 12 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born November 17, 1933 in Centerville to the late Oville Clenton and Jewell Shinn Gist. He was a long distance truck driver and worked on Mt. Nebo in the maintenance department. He was an army veteran and a past member of the Arkansas National Guard. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Ola. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, Sadie Gist and son, James Gist. Survivors include children, David Gist and Dewayne Gist of Centerville; Raymond Gist of Ola; Richard Gist, Gary Gist and Evelyn Crone of Danville; Orville Gist of Dallas, Texas; Elizabeth Orr of Pampa, Texas; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Monday, 11 AM at the First Assembly of God Church in Ola with Brother Don Lane officiating.
