Cliva Mae Shewmake age 82 of Danville passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at her home. She was born August 1, 1931 in Mississippi to the late Charlie & Etha Mae Posey Yarbrough and retured to Arkansas as an infant and made Arkansas her home. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Avis Clay. Her husband John Daniel Shewmake is still listed as missing in action in Vietnam. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law John & Becky Shewmake of Danville; daughter & son-in-law Vivian Sue & Donnie Middlesworth of Oppelo; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Charles "Sonny" & Judy Yarbrough of Lawton, OK; sisters Irene Young of Little Rock; Jean McGhee of Benton, LA; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers include Jake Hoyt, Joey Hoyt, Stormy Young, Shane Middlesworth, Randy Middlesworth and Gary Shewmake. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Oppelo Assembly of God Church with Rev. David Raney officiating. Burial will be at Ada Valley Cemetery in Morrilton.
