Clynon Davis age 80 of Dardanelle died Monday, January 6, 2014 at his home. He was born October 14, 1933 at Dardanelle to the late Earl and Lovaria Dickens Davis. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Dardanelle. He loved to hunt, fish, read and go for long walks. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Nelsie Thompson; one brother, Eual Davis. Survivors include his aunt, Gladys Richardson of Dardanelle; one brother-in-law, Isadore Thompson of Dardanelle; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Sweet Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Pallbearers will be John Freeman, David Reed, Joseph Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, James O. Woods and Robert Woods. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jewel Moore, Isadore Thompson, William Reed and Charles Thompson. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.
