Curtis Dewain Morse age 78 of Belleville died Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born December 4, 1940 at Danville, Arkansas to the late Ervin and Zetta Ray Morse. He was a Marine Veteran, as he always said, "Once a Marine, always a Marine," and he was retired from Firestone in Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; several uncles and aunts; mother, Betty Noblett Morse; brother, Richard Morse; grandson, Dennis "Coady" Defoor and nephews, Jeremy William Foster and Galen "Lang" Miller; his beloved fur babies Little Man, Cinnamon, and Sally.
Survivors include his wife, Maunette Morse of Belleville; children, Sherry Ragland and husband Michael of Marshall, Michael Morse and husband Dr. Richard Swails of McKinney, Texas; mother of his children, Patricia Ann Morrison; daughters, Kathy Gillespie and husband Frank of Belleville, Darlene Spinks and husband Greg of Perryville; brothers and sisters, Rena Miller and husband Jim of Pottsville, Howard Morse and wife Lisa of Dardanelle, Zetta Hacker of Danville, Ricky Morse of Belleville, Sandra Wilson and husband Mike of Mena, Vickie Ellison and husband Chris of Birta; grandchildren, Samuel Gillespie and Fiance Megan Spencer of Belleville, Teresa Pfeifer and husband Cullen of Havana, Zaac Ragland of Marshall, Andrea Crowder and husband Alex of Perryville, Ashley Johnson and husband Edwin of Bigelow, Nathan Spinks and wife Kelly of Perryville, Nickolas Spinks and wife Jessica of Perryville and thirteen great grandchildren, several nephews, nieces and cousins; his beloved fur babies Budda, Bella, and several kitties.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Military Honors and Bro. Bob Alexander officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the chapel in Dardanelle. Private burial will be in Russell Cemetery in Belleville.
Nephews and family will serve as pallbearers, Ryon Hacker, Terry Miller, Brad Miller, Toby Pitts, Tanner Morse, Chris Ellison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daddy's Thursday Night Gang.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Russell Cemetery Fund, 701 Moudy Road, Belleville, Arkansas 72824.
