Cynthia Woods Cynthia Jean Hemmitt Woods age 63 of Dardanelle died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at River Valley Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1951 at Dardanelle to the late CB and Billie Jean Hemmitt Freeman Calhoun. She was a member of the Dardanelle Unity Baptist Church and retired from Con Agra Foods. She loved playing softball, bingo and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Edward Wayne Freeman. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, James Obie Woods of Dardanelle; three children, Melissa West of Dardanelle, Veronica Woods of Dardanelle, O.J. Woods of Dardanelle, one step daughter Angela Jackson of Conway,Ark. Two brothers, James O. Freeman of Kansas, John I. Freeman of Dardanelle; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Monday, September 21,2015 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Pastor Kenneth Kellybrew officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 4:00P.M. to 6:00P.M. at the chapel. Pallbearers will be Richard Taylor, Willie Braxton, Steve Pearson, Curtis Watkins, Ray Watkins, Tom Gilkey, Bobby Everett, William Kellybrew Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Webster, Charles Webster, Jeald Moore, William Reed, Lloyd Ray Watkins, Andy Johnson, Leonard Thompson, Jerry Williamson and members of the Progressive Men's Club.
