David K. Austin age, 65, of Waldron passed away Tuesday morning, September 4, 2018 at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 1, 1953 in Mt. Ida, Arkansas to the late Chester Lee & Frankie May Groves Austin. He retired after 25 years from Tyson in Waldron. He loved to hunt, gardening and being outside. He loved seeing things grow; little by little. He loved watching all of his children and grandchildren grow and play.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma Melton Austin, brother, Mickey Austin, and an infant sister.

Survivors include his children Kanisha & Richard Schafer, Daniel & Christine Austin, Dana Austin & Sergio Alvarez-Heredia all of Waldron, Kayla Austin and Dayla Austin of Ratcliff; brothers Jimmy & Renee Austin of Gravelly, Roy Lee & Dorotha Austin of Nola, C.L. "Junior" & Monette Austin of Harvey, Leon & Brenda Austin of Harvey, Eddie & Alta Sue Austin of Nola; sisters, Shirley & Joe Maxey of Nola, Ella Faye & Freddie McConnell of Harvey; sister-on-law, Tressa Austin of Bluffton; grandchildren, John, Brian, Steven, Matthew, David, Stephanie, Nichole, Sexton, Rebecca Schafer; step-grandchildren, E.J., Jonathan, Patrick, and Aarron Schafer.
