David Neil Campbell, 68, of Havana AR went to be with the lord on November 4, 2026.

He was born December 7, 1957 in Bakersfield California. He served our country in the Marine Corps for over 4 years. David was a Corporal with the Military Police. He earned medals in sharp shooting in handgun and rifle. He was honorably discharged in 1979.

David worked for Yell County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy. He also was a constable for Riley Township. David also worked for WYC school district. He loved working with kids. He loved coaching softball. David loved to hunt and fish, and he loved NASCAR. He was a big hog fan.

He was preceded in death by his father David L. Campbell and brother Harold Brooks.

Survivors include his son David N. Sloan and his children; mother Alice and Alfred Frett; sisters Connie Rye, Belinda Camacho, Alice Corbin and Susan McClain; brother James Campbell and their children; extended family Brenda Hightower and her children, Shannon and Terry Rose, Justin and Leslie Spears, Jake Carter and their children.

David loved all of his family and his grandchildren.

A family held memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Western Yell County Gymnasium in Havana.
