David Ray Cossey, age 80, a lifetime resident of Dardanelle, AR, died February 23, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville, AR. David was born to Perry and Bula Kendrick Cossey on August 18, 1935 in Dardanelle. David was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Juanita Snider Sims; step father, Gobel Nunley; a son, Brad Cossey; brother, Jimmy Cossey; sisters, Betty (Ray) Talley, Joyce (Geroy) Martin and an infant sister, all of Dardanelle.

He is survived by his wife, Freda Martin Cossey; brother, Lonnie (Barbara) Kendrick of Knoxville, sons, Michael (Annette) Cossey, Tracy (Connie) Cossey; daughter, Angela (Roland) McVey, all of Dardanelle; granddaughters, Stacy (Chris) Johnson of Williamsport, PA, Stephanie (Jon) Roath of Lake Elsinore, CA, Sydney Cossey of Dardanelle; grandsons, Zac (Kayla) Cossey of Dover, Adam Brancecum of Dardanelle; great granddaughters, Madyson, Mika, and Marli Johnson, Ally Cossey, Rezlyn Roath; and many nieces and nephews.

David loved his church family at Delaware First Assembly of God and never missed an opportunity to share his witness of faith. He leaves behind many longtime friends, but none as lasting as his best friend of 75 years, Leroy Parsons.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Friday, February 26, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Bob Freeman and Bro. Johnny Whorton officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Thursday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Adam Brancecum, Zac Cossey, Jeff Harris, Eddie Harris, Buddy Haney.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Leroy Parsons, Men of the Delaware Assembly of God Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
