David Wayne Davis I age 80 of Dardanelle died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Stella Manor Nursing and rehab Center in Russellville. He was born October 14, 1936 at Thayer, Kansas to the late Floyd Joseph and Dela Leoda Adams Davis. He was a United States Army Veteran and he was a jockey, racing horses all over the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant daughters, Elizabeth and Patricia Davis; one son, Kim Davis; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include three children, Carolyn Valverdy (Reno) of Colorado, Tina Davis (David Mashburn) of Dardanelle, David "Butch" Davis II of Russellville; five grandchildren, Phillip Davis of Colorado, Tiffeny Davis of Dardanelle, Tabetha Cochran of Missouri, Brook Gunner of Dardanelle, Rachel Evans of Atkins and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle.
