David "Wayne" Lewis age 83 of Ola passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

Wayne was born December 19, 1940 in Ola, Arkansas to the late David Dewey & Lillie Mae Davenport Lewis. He was of the Baptist faith, and retired from Terra Renewal Services.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Hartsell, O.J., and Dewey Joe Lewis; sisters, Jearldine Barnes, Bobbie Freeze and Betty Burnett.

Survivors include his children, Carolyn Mullins, Teresa & Gary Oels, John David Lewis, Deborah & Terry Mitchell, Phillip Wayne & Amber Lewis, Melissa & Brett Faulkner and Dixie Lewis; sister Bonnie Baskin; grandchildren, Ashley, Cliffie, Katie, Cory and Kennan; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Madi, Addie, Dani, Emma, Jase and Pyper; several nephews and niece and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Ola First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles King and Rev. Charles Lewis officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm before the service at the church. Burial will be a Sandlin Cemetery in Ola.

Pallbearers include Rick Thone, Tommy Hunt, Gary Oels, Bruce Burnett, Cliffie Mullins and Cory Rager.

Honorary pallbearers include Jim Smith, Johnny Lawrence, Ronny Barnes, Dale Beene, and Kenny Ashcraft "Hippie".
