David Eugene Pounders age 65 of Ola died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was born December 4, 1951 in Russellville, Alabama to the late David Owen and Ouida Jackson Pounders. He was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Ola and an Instructor for National Apprenticeship Training Foundation. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Julie Pounders of Ola; two children, Olivia Rose Pounders of Russellville, John David Pounders of Ola; one sister, Beverly Watts of Hot Springs and one nephew, Michael Sacrey of Russellville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the chapel. Burial will be private in Sandlin Cemetery in Ola.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Burnett, Cody Buford, Ronny Barnes, Lee Puckett, Randy Smith, Mike Hokhold.
