David Arden Rector age 76 of Dardanelle passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born February 25, 1944 in Beebe, Arkansas to the late Buford Rector and Louise Holland Rector. David was a United States Air Force Veteran and a graduate of Dardanelle High School. He loved his family, especially his grandkids. He made an impact on several kids coaching them in summer baseball and followed every team his son Charles coached. He was a "second" dad to all of his son's friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rita Parker Rector and an infant sister, Doyce Ann Rector.

Survivors include his two children, Russell Rector (Maria), Charles Rector (Ashley); one sister, Patricia Thomas (Aubrey) and three grandchildren, Benjamin Rector, Cash Rector and Rush Rector.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Carl Fair officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, 6:30P.M. to 8:30P.M. at the chapel. Burial will be Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Brad Johnson, Clinton Chronister, Chris Underwood, James Manatt, Tim Ramey, Rodney Thompson and two of his grandsons, Cash and Rush Rector.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all the young men he had the pleasure of coaching, and his "guys" that worked with him at Firestone/Bridgestone.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Yell County Meals on Wheels, 701 N. 5 ^th Street, Dardanelle, Arkansas 72834.
