Ray Edwards

Davis Ray Edwards age 62 of Dardanelle passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at his home. He was born June 5, 1958 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Lewis Ray "Lum" Edwards and Margaret Louise Miller Edwards. He was a member of the Ard Church of Christ and the Yell County Wildlife Federation. He was owner operator of DRE Inc. and a licensed funeral director. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Ray "Lum" Edwards and his grandparents, Lonnie and Stella Alexander Edwards and J.D. and Lorene Earls Miller and his father-in-law, Bobby Callan.

Survivors include his wife, Dana Callan Edwards; his mother, Margaret Miller Edwards; two sisters, Deborah Edwards Fisher (Craig), Melinda Edwards Rollans (Tim); mother-in-law, Laura Callan; one brother-in-law, Lloyd Callan (Cyndia); six nephews and nieces, C.J. Fisher (Lisa), Kayla Rollans, Catelyn Fisher Davis (Lucas), Kyle Rollans (Taylor), Savannah Callan Hancock (Drew), Ashleigh Callan and seven great nephews and nieces, Adriauna Cornish, Adelyn Fisher, Micah Fisher, Jonathan Fisher, Drexel Cornish, Jr., Adeline Hancock and Isaac Hancock.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, February 12, 2021 at the family farm, 10649 Ard Road, Dardanelle, Arkansas 72834, with Bro. Bill Land and Bro. Zach Pettis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Coffman, Jeffery Coffman, John Thaxton, Kyle Rollans, C.J. Fisher, Darin Thaxton, Ernest Thaxton, Jeff Gateley, Lance Fowler and Justin Fowler.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ard Church of Christ Family, Jerry and Rene Johnson, Annette Sigle, Tom and Melanie Rice, Steve Johnston, Michael Strosch, Lloyd Callan, Robert and Sherry Fowler, Dustin Cook, Dr. Chris Merritt and Justin Sheets.

In honor of Ray's service to the funeral industry, his body will be honorably escorted by his dear friends, A.J. Cunningham, Tony Sigle, Mark Fink and Matthew Mitchell.
