Dawsey Ray Dowdy, age 79 of House Springs, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at his home. He was born May 3, 1944 in Malden, Missouri to the late Hershel Dowdy and Virgie Jones. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Dawsey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 35 years, Alva Dowdy; Daughter, Denise Dowdy; sisters, Shirley Cyr, Iona Bates and a great grandchild, Emry Smith.

Survivors include two children, Caronda Casey (Travis) of Dover, Arkansas, Donna Stegall (Tobbie) of House Springs, Misssouri; two brothers, Wendell Dowdy (Donna Lynn) of Cole Camp, Missouri, Jim Dowdy (Jane) of Belleville, Illinois; one sister, Phylis Sharon Dowdy of St. Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tarah Smith (Josh), Ashley Perry, Joshua Bonee (Amanda), Kenny Bonee (Danielle), Brooklyn Roesch (Michael), Hailey Bonilla and sixteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Keith Walters officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery in Dover.
