DEBORAH DENNIS KROH
Ormond Beach resident Deborah Dennis Kroh (widely known as "Miss Deb"), passed away Sunday, August 24th, 2025 at the Advent Health Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida, age 67.
Deb was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth (Kent) Dennis on April 11th of this year.
Deb is survived by her husband Dennis J. Kroh of Ormond Beach, her mother Barbara Dennis of Danville, Arkansas, two step-daughters, Laura Kroh-Parker (and husband Tyler Parker) of New York City, and Xandra Kroh of Ormond Beach, FL, a step-granddaughter Aurora and a little grandson to be born in December. Deb is also survived by a HOST of family members and good friends from all over the World.
Deborah loved the lord, was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Deborah and her husband Dennis enjoyed travel immensely and travelled the World as often as they could (including 6 of the 7 continents). Deb spoke quite a few languages fluently and enjoyed visiting and interacting with people from other countries and respected many of their customs. Coming from a musical family, Deb was a very accomplished musician at a very early age and sang and played many different instruments extremely well, having attended Juilliard in New York.
Deb retired from ESPN where she was the tournament director of the Women's Bassmaster series and travelled all over the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Deb also officiated many of the male Bassmaster Classic tournaments. Deb previously worked for Dardanelle State Park in Arkansas, Motorola in Dallas, and the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Austin (as an interpreter).
Her funeral will be held Saturday, August 30th at 2:00 in the Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church of Belleville, Arkansas, with visitation one hour prior. Brother Steve Downum will be officiating the service, and burial will be in Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville. Pallbearers will be Bill Gilkey, Jeff Gilkey, Glenn Laster, Jay York, Tim Walls and Matthew Boyce.
