Delmer M. Standridge Delmer M. Standridge, age 83 of Dardanelle died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center in Dardanelle. He was born August 29, 1929 in Johnson County, Arkansas to the late John Oscar and Hettie Pearson Standridge. He was part of the construction crew of the Dardanelle Lock and Dam, a heavy equipment operator, farmer & 32nd degree Mason with Bright Star Lodge #213. He was a former member of the Arkansas Army National Guard. He liked to hunt, fish and being in the outdoors but his main love was playing music. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret A. Standridge, five brothers, Joe, Loyd, Boyd, Melvin and Doyn Standridge, two sisters, Audrey Jones and Lue Ella Jones. Survivors include one son Leslie M. Standridge and partner, James Brummett of Minneapolis, MN, two daughters, Brenda A. Standridge-Cantrell and husband Billy of North Little Rock, Jennifer M. Standridge-Simmons and husband Daniel of Austin, AR, two sisters, Arlene Chapman-Weaver and husband Delbert of Tillar, AR and Vernell Hampton of Dardanelle, two grandsons, Chandler and Noah Simmons of Austin, AR and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Cornwell Chapel with Rev. David Downum officiating. Burial will be in Ringer Cemetery at Centerville. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Pallbearers: Gary Adair, Michael L. Standridge, Kevin Hampton, Russell Standridge, Rickey Standridge and Windell Standridge.
