Obituary

Deloris Woodard Pence, 90 of Danville, passed away July 21, 2025 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville.  She was born July 23, 1934 in Ink, Arkansas (Polk County) to the late George Washington and Willie (Wilcox) Mos.  She retired as a secretary for the Danville School District.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gene Woodard and Merrill Pence; sons, Byron Lampkin, Chris Lampkin; brothers, Sonny Mos, G.W. Mos, Jimmy Mos; and sister Wanda Roberts.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa and Phillip Shelby; two sisters, Alba Ayres, Sally Henry; two brothers, J.D. Mos, Wendall Mos; five grandchildren. Savannah and Andrew, Mollie and Conner, Joseph and Lauren, Alex and Corey, Ashton and Clay; four great-grandchildren, Fletcher, Griffin, Mila, and Tatem; a special cousin, Violet Watson; and several nephews and nieces.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, at Earl Ladd Cemetery with Owen Yandell officiating.

Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville.
