Derrick Douglas Foster age 67 of Chickalah Mountain, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 at Mitchell’s Nursing Home in Danville. He was born January 25, 1959 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Clarence Doug Foster and Louise Horn Foster. Derrick was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Doug Foster, Donna Foster; his birth mother, Louise Horn Foster; nephews, Jeremy Foster and Nate Foster; sister, Michele Foster and a great grandchild.

Survivors include his children, Hannah Foster, Christopher Foster, Tiffany McCurrie; grandchildren, Ryder Foster, Aimee Johnson, EJ McCurrie; brother, Jeff Foster and wife Becky, and his cat, George.

He loved fishing with his brother and late companion, Frances Keysacker, hunting, listening to music, and watching sports. Derrick was known to his friends and family as “Crazy Cooter”, the fisherman and mechanic. He fixed many boat motors and fishing reels in the State of Arkansas.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00A.M., Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Mtn. Springs Cemetery.
