Doris Ann James age 72 of Havana passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Mitchells Nursing Home. She was born July 29, 1942 in Booneville, AR. to the late Haskell Dewey & Grethel Hicks Houston. Doris graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City. She worked for Fort Chaffee, then the Department of Human Services where she retired after 23 years. She volunteered for the Chambers Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy Holcomb and Bobby Holcomb. Survivors include her husband of 51 years Floyd James; son, Ronald & Stacey James of Waldron; daughters, Debbie & Herbert Catlett of Waldron; Susan & Brian Darling of Centerton; brothers, George Houston of Booneville; Dan Houston of Paris; sister, Mary Hagan of Kentucky; grandchildren, Jordan Catlett, Morgan Darling, Sydney Darling, Kacey Darling, Corbin Darling, Amber McCullah, Blaine McCullah and Braiden James; great-grandson, Palin Randell. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Havana Cemetery with Bro John McCourt officiating.
