Dorothy Mai Heidebur age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born June 16, 1934 in Nashville, TN to Vergil and Eva Murrell.  She graduated high school in 1952 as valedictorian of her class.

Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother, who always put the needs of others first. She raised two sons and just as she thought her child rearing days were over she adopted two grandchildren and raised them.

She loved the simple things of life like going to yards sales or playing bingo or just hanging out.

She was independent, smart, serious, with a heart of gold and a laugh that was completely infectious. Sometimes a little proud to ask for help but was always willing to give it.

She is survived by her two sons, Leonard and Steve, Jackie her sister, grandkids Chad M, Melissa, Len & Chad E., and Barbara her niece.
