Dorothy D. Martin age 83 of Dardanelle died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born November 6, 1931, at Corley, Arkansas to the late Steve and Laura Evelyn Melton Claypool. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Louise Goates, Wanda Ellis; one brother, Joe Claypool. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jimmy "Pepper" Martin of Dardanelle; four children, Shelia Keatts of Little Rock, Jimmy Reed Martin, Jr. of Owasso, Oklahoma, Deborah Hafner and husband Jeff of Owasso, Oklahoma, Douglas Martin of Dardanelle; one brother, Doyle H. Claypool of Dardanelle; two sisters, Edith Ellis of Little Rock, Sue McGee of Little Rock; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10A.M., Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Jim Benfer officiating. Burial will be private at Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 9A.M. to 10A.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Family will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.
