Dovie M. George of Birta age 87 passed away Thursday April 26, 2012 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born August 25, 1924 in Birta, AR. to the late Ira & Eva Hubbard Archer. She was a member of the Birta Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Lester George, son Farron George, daughter Elcie Mensch, grandson Donald Ray Morrison, 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include her children & spouses, Darrell and Terry George of Rose Creek; Ella Morrison of Ola ; and Gary & Pam George of Conway; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Birta Missionary Baptist Church . Burial will be at Birta Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before service. Pallbearers include John David Mullins, Tim George, Jeff Benedict, Jeremy Wells, Jamie Storment, Steve Stacy and Isaac George. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville.
