Duel Ethred Elmore age 93 of Belleville passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at Mitchell's Nursing Home.

He was born July 31, 1925 in Belleville, Arkansas to the late Odell & Annie Lane Elmore. Ethred served in World WAR II with the 82 ^nd Airborne Glider Division. He participated in the Normandy Invasion, Operation Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge, and crossing The Elbe River on a final drive to Berlin. He was dropped into Normandy and Nijmegen, Netherlands, in a glider. He returned home in 1946 to work on the farm and married Louise Madden in 1947. He was a member of the Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church, logger and cattle farmer, and a member of the American Legion. Ethred loved baseball and played with a league at Belleville and Danville. He loved fishing and went every chance he had while taking care of his family and farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Alean Newton.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Louise Elmore; children, Patricia McGrew (Charles) of Russellville, Larry Elmore (Judy) of Belleville, Pamela Bradford of Paragould, Jannettia Lampkins of Jonesboro; sister, Rosa Nell Reynolds of Belleville; grandchildren, Lance Elmore (Rebecca); Jonathan Elmore, Kevin Bradford (Shelia), Ashley Lampkins, Zachary Bradford (Molly), Kayla Wells; great-grandchildren, Alexus Elmore, Bella Bradford, Easton Wells, Piper Bradford; great-great-grandson, Braxton Winsauer.

Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Upper Spring Creek.
