It is with great sadness that the family of Dwight Daves announce his sudden passing on April 9, 2023 at the age of 66 at Dardanelle Nursing & Rehab Center. He was born April 4, 1957 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Arvel Daves and Doryes Raper Daves. He graduated from Hot Springs High School and received a Bachelor's degree in environmental science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Daves of Dardanelle; children, Delaney Hall (Cory) of Russellville, Danielle Duvall (Cole) of Conway, Dalen Daves of Dardanelle; siblings, Drenda Clemons of Duncanville, Texas, Dalton Daves (Teresa) of Sherwood, Derrol Daves of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Wyatt, Mayleigh, Karsyn Hall and aunts and uncles, Mary and Walter Daves Jr, Lou Thomas, Bert Nichols and Stuart Hennigan, nieces, nephews, and many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dwight never met a stranger and always had a story to share. He enjoyed the outdoors, collecting antiques, and handicap horse racing with his friends, especially his close friend Francis Boustany. He also enjoyed growing fruits and vegetables in the garden, as long as there were no onions. He loved all Razorback sports. He was a champion at trivia games, scrabble, and Monopoly, although sometimes changing the rules to work in his favor. He took his family on many adventures and his grandchildren, who called him "Pop," were his pride and joy.

Family-conducted memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Dardanelle with Father Mauricio Carrasco officiating.
