Earl Wayne Matthews Jr. age 39 of Dardanelle died Wednesday, July 15, 2015. He was born January 18, 1976 at Little Rock to Earl Wayne Matthews Sr. and Elizabeth Jean Clark. He was a 1994 graduate Dardanelle High School and he attended the Refuge Church in Russellville. Earl loved to fish and was learning to play the guitar. He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Earl and Mary Matthews and Tom and Phyllis Clark; stepfather, William Foster. Survivors include his companion of 15 years, Deena Stroud of Dardanelle; one stepdaughter, Ashley Stroud of Dardanelle; his father, Earl Matthews Sr. and wife Barbara of Casa; two sisters, Valerie Godwin and husband Rick of Casa, Tammy Matthews of Casa; one stepbrother, Matt Foster of Dardanelle; two uncles, Bradley Clark and Randy Clark both of Dardanelle and five nieces. A family held memorial service for family and friends will be held at 10:00A.M., Monday, July 20, 2015 at Bryant's Cove Cemetery with Bro. Denver Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the chapel. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home and River Valley Cremations in Dardanelle.
