Elke Marie Gist, age 72 of Dardanelle, Arkansas, passed away October 18, 2013 at her home. Elke was born October 28, 1940 in Neugablonz, West Germany to the late Wilhelm and Mimi (Sieghort) Urban. She was a gifted artist, retired sales associate for Hancock's Fabrics and a member of the River Valley Quilters Guild. Survivors include her husband, Evert Gist of Dardanelle; children and their spouses, Audrey and Tom Burk of Garfield, Arkansas, Frank and Jill Terry of Russellville, Linda and Michael Hodges of Russellville; four grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Segan, Brandi Ritchie, Layla Terry, Elle James Hodges; three great-grandchildren, Brayson, Brynlee, and Bryer Ritchie; and her loyal Maltese companion, Rowdy.
