Ella Shoemaker Ella Lucille Shoemaker age 102 of Winnsboro, Louisiana died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Delhi Hospital in Delhi, Louisiana. She was born November 30, 1909 at Dardanelle to the late Zenos Varnell and Dora Blair Stewart. She was a homemaker, she loved to garden, loved to sew and most of all she loved her family and her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Shoemaker; eight brothers, Denver, Ransey, Earnest, Loyd, Everett, Charlie, Johnny and Tinker Stewart; five sisters, Eunice Keys, Arlie Callan, Ollie Sitton, Dorothy Deeds, Nellie Callan. Survivors include her seven children, John Melvin Shoemaker and wife Alice of Atlanta, Georgia, Melba Leonard and husband Jim of Aurora, Colorado, Joy Light of St. Louis, Missouri, Earnest Shoemaker of Winnsboro, Louisiana, Anna Kelley of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Phillip Shoemaker and wife Beth of Winnsboro, Louisiana, Linda Dildine and husband Larry of St. Louis, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
