Obituary

Ellen Bouton Moudy age 89 of Danville passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. Ellen was born July 26, 1926 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Arthur Franklin "Art" & Francis Leaming Bouton Sr. She was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church and Sarah Freeman Sunday School Class. She was active in the United Methodist Women. She volunteered at Mitchells Nursing Home for over 30 years helping with the special activities and Tuesday morning church service. She was a member of the Yell County Historical Society and was the first female to serve on the Danville City Council for 11 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband J.A. Moudy Jr. of 46 years and late husband Bill Capehart; brother, Arthur Franklin "Sonny" Bouton Jr. Survivors include her son & daughter, Lt. Col. (retired) Phillip & Mary Ann (Corbin) Moudy of Danville; daughter & son-in-law, Marilyn (Moudy) & Rex Nevels of Carthage, TX.; granddaughters, Laura (Moudy) & Tommy Parker of Russellville; Suzanne (Moudy) & Nick Fisher of Russellville; Jennifer (Hogan) & Jason Gary of Carthage, TX.; grandson, Jeremy & Cassie Hogan of Carthage, TX.; Emily (Nevels) Warren of Brookhaven, MS.; great- grandchildren, Langston Parker, Madden Parker, Avery Fisher, Jake Fisher, Jackson Gary, Jenna Gary, Lily Warren, Wednesday Warren, and Allie Warren. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Danville United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Sullinger officiating. Burial will be at Earl Ladd Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday before the service at the church. Pallbearers include Johnny Chambers, Bob Corbin, Tom Gilkey, Jean Hawkins, James Mitchell, Dr. Forrest Moudy, Steve Pfeifer and Bob Pledger. Honorary pallbearers include Roy Asbill, Dr. Tim Kay, Danville City Council Members and Sarah Freeman Sunday School Class.
