Elsie Cossey Isham Elsie Cossey Isham age 88 of Dardanelle died at home, Sunday, April 22. She was born in Belleville, December 03, 1923 to Dewey and Della Chappell Strickland. She retired from Valmac; which is now Tyson. She then went to work for the Dardanelle School District as a cook for many more years. She was a member of the Faith Church in Dardanelle. She enjoyed working on genealogy of her family and was a member of the Yell County Historical Society. She is preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Wanda, brothers, Garland and Junior Strickland and a grandson Kevin. Survivors include her husband, Charles Isham; daughter, Fonda Hardy and son-in-law Paul; son, Ken Urchison and daughter-in-law Beth all of Dardanelle; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Faith Church in Dardanelle with Rev. David Jay and Bob Dowling officiating. Burial will be in Havana Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle. Pallbearers: Mike Tilley, Rich Bowden, Kenny Urchison, Aaron Campbell, Matthew Cates and Russell Wade.
