Elsie Wilson Thompson, age 92 of Russellville, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at her home. She was born September 10, 1929 in Dutch Creek, Arkansas and attended Waldron School until graduation. She then married the love of her life, Mike Thompson of Parks, Arkansas and began raising a family. After her children left home, she moved to Russellville where she began caring for hundreds of other girls as a "Dorm Mom" at Arkansas Tech for over 20 years. After "Mom Thompson" retired from Tech, she began caring for a new generation by working for several years in the nursery at City Church in Russellville. She was also a member of the Odd Fellow and Rebecca's Fraternal Organization. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and William "Bill" Wilson of Dutch Creek; her husband, Mike Thompson of Parks and a daughter, Charla Johnson of Russellville.

Survivors include her daughters, Carroll McKinney (Bob) of Gumlog, Carla Thompson of Russellville, Colleen Black of Little Rock; grandchildren, Laurie Bergenstock (J.R.) and two sons of Mountain Home, Kelsey McKinney (Jena) and one son of Claremore, Oklahoma, Mallory Decker (Allen) and three sons and one daughter of Pisgah, Alabama, Erin Evatt and two daughters of Barling, Arkansas, Jesse Evatt (Tabitha) and one daughter of Little Rock, Heather Womack (Chris) and one daughter and two sons of Dover, Ashley Black of Dover and a special son-in-law, David Black.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30A.M., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the City Church in Russellville.
