Elvie Ada Wilkins James

Elvie James 93 years old of Blue Ball, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Mitchell Nursing Home in Danville. The daughter of William Thomas (Tom) and Oshie Garner Wilkins, she was born on April 11, 1923 in Blue Ball, Arkansas.

She married Vernon James, January 20, 1940. She was a member of Egypt Freewill Baptist Church in Blue Ball.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years, Vernon James; grandson, Kenneth James; sisters, Dottie Wilkins, Tad Morgan, Isabell Hunt, Muffie Armstrong, Lois Millard, Elzadee Miller, Veoria Morgan; brothers, Roy and Bill Wilkins.

Survivors include; sons, Melvin and Vickie of LaVernia, Texas; Ronnie and Paula of Richmond, Texas; and Ricky James of Mitchell Nursing Home; daughters, Peggy and Harold Gene Hall; Patty and Brian Kutach all of Pottsville; Pamela and Johnny Millard of Danville; sisters, Geneva Self; Betty Sue Woodard; grandchildren, Sherry Rupp, Teresa Nelson, Melissa Hernandez, Robin James, Crystal Rainey, Brandon James, Ollie Gonzalez, Jennifer Buffington, Dustin Hall, Jessica Whitten, Blake and Trent Defoor; 20 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at Egypt Freewill Baptist Church at 10 am Friday, July 1, 2016 with Bro. Jackie Allen officiating. Burial will be at Egypt Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Dustin Hall, Devan Buffington, Blake Defoor, Trent Defoor, Brandon James, and Randall Havner.
