Ernest "Ernie" Doyle Buckman Jr. went to be with the Lord December 26, 2020 at Russellville where he lived. Raised in Yell County, he was born to the late (Shorty) Ernest Doyle Buckman Sr. and Frances Meriel Majors Buckman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Jennifer Turner.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vicki Briley Buckman; three sons, Doyle Buckman (Jennifer) of Havana, Arkansas, Bradley Buckman of Russellville, Eric Buckman (Kandis) of Dardanelle; one sister, Carolyn Turner of Dewitt; five grandchildren, E.D. Buckman, Cory Buckman, Landen Kuras, Rikki Buckman, Remington Buckman; bonus children, Jordan Hensley, Kim Jones; sisters-in-law, Jan Herr (Hank) of Plainview, Sherry Smith (Billy) of Russellville, Pam Smith of Plainview, Sonja Riddell of Plainview, Naomi Noblett of Plainview; brother-in-law, Mike Briley (Pat) of Plainview; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ernie worked in the lumber business for 30 years, that was his life besides his wife and kids and grandchildren. He worked for HEMCO for 7 years, putting in sawmill equipment before he went to work at the lumber mill, Biblers then West Frasier.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Jesus Name Pentecostal Church in Plainview with Bro. Stacy Lisenby officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, noon to 2:00P.M. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Russell Cemetery in Belleville.

Pallbearers will be Gary Parks, James Paul Westlake, Blaine Smith, Billy Smith, Ricky Chisum, Jeff Stalnaker, Matt Hagenlocker and Keith Stokes.

Honorary pallbearers will be E.D. Buckman, Cory Buckman, Landen Kuras, Rikki Buckman and Remi Buckman.
