Ernest Pfeifer

Ernest Pfeifer, age 94 of Dardanelle died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Atkins Nursing center. He was born November 29, 1922 at Dardanelle to the late Van and Francis Kubat Pfeifer. Ernest was a WWII Veteran with the Navy and served on the USS John M. Birmingham in the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. He graduated from Dardanelle High School in 1941, graduated from Arkansas Tech and obtained a Masters at the University of Arkansas in Agri-Business. Ernest was employed by Sugar Creek Creamery and was the founder and owner of Eureka Egg Farm and Valley Supreme Eggs in Dardanelle. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Morene; one son, James; brothers and sister-n-laws, Henrey (Helen), Clem (Zeta), Louis (Billie); sisters, Agnes Beran (Joe), Lucille Perryman (Robert).

Survivors include his son, Paul Nichols Pfeifer and brother, Bill Pfeifer (Barbara) both of Dardanelle.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Friday, April 7, 2017 at First Methodist Church in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the Cornwell Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randy Pfeifer, Donnie Pfeifer, James Lynn Pfeifer, Steve Pfeifer Lucien Gillham and Johnny Cornwell.
