Esther Jane Smith Mayhew age 68 of Danville passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was born December 13, 1944 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Omer & Jewel McTigritt Blakeney. She was a member of the Gravelly Order of Eastern Star, American Cancer Society, Danville United Methodist Church, and a founding member of the Waltreak Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, and husband Bervil Mayhew. Survivors include her sons & daughter-in-law Randy & Teresa Smith of Danville, Jeff Smith of Booneville; granddaughters Sadeidre Smith of Conway and Heather Harris of Danville; great-granddaughter Maryanna Harris and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers include Randy Smith, Jeff Smith, Sadeidre Smith, Chris Noyes, Lewis Dale Lambert, and Tim Spears. Honorary Pallbearers include Phillip Robinson, Larry White, Jerry Pendergraft, and Richard Casillas. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Danville Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville.
