Eugene Carl Lewis age 77 of the Omega Community died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at his home. He was born March 24, 1939 at Ola to the late Johnnie H. and Verda Lora Eldridge Lewis. He was a lifetime member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Chickalah and he also served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Lewis, Edward Lewis; sisters, Nina Boswell and Leona Dobbs.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Fowler Lewis of the Omega Community; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Angelia Lewis of Russellville, Mitchell and Carol Lewis of Dardanelle; two brothers, Johnnie and Zell Lewis of Dardanelle, Jim and Laura Lewis of Dardanelle; three sisters, Carolyn Rowe of Dardanelle, Marie and Chuck Caldwell of Arizona, Sue and Jim Henderson of Mabelvale; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Daniel Conditt and Horace Hollis officiating. Burial will be in Shepherd Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Fowler, Allen Lewis, Jimmy Don Fowler, John Vodrazka, Steve Hartman, Todd Carter, Doyle Steven Fowler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
