Mary Evalee Crews Owens "Mem" age 83 of Havana, passed away from this earthly life on Sunday, March 18, 2012. She was born in Pyatt, Arkansas on May 19, 1928 to James and Mamie Pilgrim Crews. She married Thurman Owens on June 27, 1947 at Santa Maria, California. She was a member of the Danville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Jewel and James Crews; two sisters, Mavis Phillips and Ernestine Lamont; nephews, Billy Ray Owens, Donnie Guthrie, Randy Cherry, and Tommy Joe Owens. She is survived by a daughter, Jerrie Parker and husband, Odean of Danville; son, Danny Owens of Havana; granddaughters, Erin Parker, Jennifer Mitchell and husband, Michael, Brigette Cobb, Tara Godwin; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Michael Mitchell, Kelsie Via, Trent Cobb, and Carson and Chole Keim; sisters Mildred Owens, Betty Chapman, and Bonnie Hall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nina and Frank Cherry, Robert and Selma Owens, Jack and Claudia Owens, Linda Owens, and Virginia Crews; numerous nephews, nieces, friends, and her church family. Graveside service will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. Havana Cemetery with her nephew Butch Gossett officiating.Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
