Evola Cox Whitlow age 89 of Plainview, passed away Wednesday, February 06, 2013 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born in Rover on July 19, 1923 to the late Olgar & Lillie Mae Gallion Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Lamar Whitlow; son, John W. Whitlow; brothers Hobert Cox and Bob Cox; granddaughter Theresa Whitlow. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Dianne Whitlow of Rossville, Georgia; sister, Nina Jean Hesselmeyer of St. Peters, MO; brother Billy Cox of Santa Barbara, CA; granddaughter, Sherry Brennen; great-grandchildren, Summer Dion Wycuff , Tyler Patrick, and Hunter Brennen; great-great-granddaughter, Lillie Mae Wycuff. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Salem Cemetery in Plainview. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, at the funeral home.
