Faye Ruth Pledger Underwood of Delaware, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Arkansas Hospice House in Russellville, Arkansas.

She was born February 6, 1937 to the late Arthur A. Pledger and L. Juanita Breazzeal Pledger. Faye was a great family history researcher and an avid reader, gardener and loved crafts of any kind especially crocheting. She crocheted hundreds of baby caps over the years to donate to Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 55 years L. Truman Underwood.

Survivors include her son, Larry Underwood (Peggy) of Pottsville; grandchildren, Melissa Underwood (Mark Dunlap) of Roanoke VA.; Kristi Higgs ( James) of Russellville and Paige Wilkins (Eric) of Danville; great-grandchildren, Morgan Roe, Shannon Roe, and Ashlyn Roe, Baron Higgs, River Higgs, Woody Higgs and Jackson Wilkins; sisters, Dorothy Underwood of Delaware; Catherine Needham of Arizona; brothers Jack Pledger (Patsy) of Dover; Al Pledger (Jo) of Russellville; and a much loved sister-in-law, Nellie Garman (Roger) of Delaware and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steven Underwood, Travis Underwood, Kevin Underwood, Josh Wesley, Jace Wesley and Alan Pledger.

Service will be held at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle on January 22, 2022 at 2 pm with visitation at 1pm to 2 pm before service at the chapel. Burial will be at Graves Cemetery in Delaware. Masks Required.
