Frances Almetta Bates Caldwell died at the age of 101 on August 18, 2024. She was born April 15, 1923 in Harkey's Valley, Arkansas to the late Alexander Dallas Bates and Jasper Ann Barnett. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, she loved gardening, cooking, caring for others and spending time with family, especially the little ones, and friends. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Dover and seven siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Runshang (Bud) of Hot Springs Village, Peggy Caldwell of Atkins; grandchildren, Charles "Rusty" Hottinger of Russellville, Kevin Hottinger (Stacey) of Dardanelle, Jeff Robinson (Tiffanie Ward) of Dardanelle, Bradley Robinson (Carrie) of Elkins, Kristie Robinson of Atkins, Jessica Walker (Eric Gateley), (Jace and Bowen Gateley) of Centerville, Sidney Muse of Perryville; great grandchildren, Hunter Hottinger (Ashley) of Beaufort, SC, Greyson Hottinger of Dardanelle, Kalyn Hottinger of Dardanelle, Skylar Ward of Dardanelle, Devin Aubut of Elkins, Cole Robinson of Fayetteville, Samantha Higgs (Tyler) of Atkins, Dalton Perkins (McKenzie), of Atkins; great great grandchildren, Ryder and Ensley Higgs of Atkins, River Perkins of Atkins and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers: Charles "Rusty" Hottinger, Kevin Hottinger, Jeff Robinson, Bradley Robinson, Dalton Perkins and Cole Robinson.
