Freda Alane Alexander (Lane), 77, of Dover, passed away Tuesday September 29th leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and countless memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Lane was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Elsie Campbell; her sister, Jane Moore; and her brother, John Campbell.

Lane was retired from the Russellville school system, and a former line dance instructor at the local VFW, where she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her former husband and devoted caregiver, Ted Alexander; her daughters, Becki (Chris) Louis and Teresa (Charles) Westerman; and her son, Doy (Rachel) Alexander.

One of Lane’s greatest blessings was her family. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Brittanie (Shawn) Morris, Stephanie (Brandon) Dalton, Tasha (Benino) Garay, Teddy (Coleman) Warnick, Triston (Hope) Blalack, Kole (Kaden) Westerman, Carisa-Rose Westerman, Rebekah (Dylan) White, and Garrett Alexander.

Her family continued to grow with the addition of her beloved great-grandchildren: Marlee and Scout Morris; Harlee and Brees Luke; Kaydon and Emery Dalton; Bliss, Daylen, Callie, and Chloe Garay; Emersyn and Jace Blalack; Paislee and Ella White; and Baby Jameson Warnick, who is lovingly awaited.

Lane is also survived by her sisters, Fannie, Floniece, and Francis, a brother in law Larry and a sister in law Barbara, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Lane’s legacy lives on through the generations of family she leaves behind. She will be remembered as a mother, Nana, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and loved one whose place in her family can never be replaced. Although she will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the family she helped build will remain a lasting part of all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of a funeral, we will be planning a celebration of life in the near future.
