Gary Ronald Skelton, age 78 of Dover, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born March 20, 1945 at home in Dover, Arkansas.

Gary proudly served in the United States Army, and was an avid horseman and thoroughbred owner. He enjoyed riding, training horses, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Skelton & Janie Jobe Skelton; sister, AnnaBeth Skelton; and daughter, Amanda Beth Skelton Nelson.

Survivors include sister (and brother-in-law) Jane (and David) Clark; brothers (and sister-in-law) Paul & Bill (and Lynn) Skelton; grandchildren, Allyson (and husband Matthew) Wood, Jacob Nelson, Megan (and husband Elijah) Ratliff; and great grandchildren, Gavin, Lyla, & Chance Wood, Clark & Clover Nelson, as well as Egan & Ameliah Ratliff.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2023 at St. Paul Cemetery in Dover. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Wood, Chad Skelton, Doug Skelton and Jim Clark.
