Gary Wayne "Slick" Westlake age 78 of Carter Cove passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his home.

He was born April 22, 1941 in Nimrod, Arkansas to the Hubert Wayne & Jeanette Lucille Hatcher Westlake. He loved outdoors and people and he was known for his handmade knifes.

He was preceded in death by his father, and brother, David Westlake.

Survivors include his mother, Jeanette Westlake of Plainview; daughter, Laura & Clint Garrett of Batesville; sisters, Kay Everette of Plainview; Deborah Jean "DJ" Westlake of Plainview; sister-in-law, Vickie Westlake of Virginia; grandson will be arriving in December; niece, Ashley Carr; nephew, Tron Westlake.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Dardanelle Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Dardanelle Chapel. Burial will be at Carter Cove Cemetery.
