Gene Holt, born Gurnia Eugene Holt was born February 2, 1965 to John Edwin Holt and Mary Louise Fowler. Gene was raised in the Mount George Community and attended Ola High School where he graduated in 1983. He was a member of the "3 Tons of Fun" along with Jeff Richardson and Henry Mills and the "Ola Mountain Joggers."

Gene loved to fish, hunt and dig for Indian Artifacts.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, John and Maggie Fowler and Anna Holt.

He is survived by his children, Mason and Emily; his sisters, Pat (Jesse) Justice, Sandy (Danny) Havner and Chris (Tim) Baskin.

A special thank you to the Nursing Staff, BHU and Physical Therapy Departments and Doctor Berry. Thank you for your compassion at Chambers Memorial Hospital. To his Doctor, Philip Tippin, Gene considered you not only as his doctor but as his friend. Your caring and friendship helped him complete his journey.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at 10:00A.M., Friday, February 2, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle followed by a memorial service at 10:45A.M., with Reverend Jim Fisk officiating. A private burial service will be held at Chalybeate Cemetery.
