Nita Holmes

Geneva Nell "Nita" Holmes age 78 of Casa died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born March 11, 1938 at Jourdanton, Texas to the late William R. and Inez Tompson Smith. She was a member of the Birta Missionary Baptist Church, she loved gardening and watching her horses and the PBR. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Carl Holmes; three children, Coy Holmes, Billy Holmes and wife Janey, Teresa Bewley and husband Randy; grandchildren, three grandsons, Travis Bewley, Clay Bewley, Joshua Holmes; four granddaughters, Jaclyn Bly, Lindsy Waters, Jordan Holmes, Magan Holmes; great granddaughters, Arabella Robinson, Imberlyn Bly, Hannah Bewley; sisters, Margie Eldridge and brother-in-law, Hugh Eldridge; brother-in-law, Kenneth Davenport and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bobby Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Needmore Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Travis Bewley, Clay Bewley, Joshua Holmes, Keith Waters, Kevin Irwin, Kenneth Davenport.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Corey Mellon, Robert Elder.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
