Nicole Hopson

Genie Nicole Hopson, age 22 of Dardanelle, Arkansas, formerly of Perryton, Texas went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Arkansas Childrens Hospital in Little Rock. She was born December 30, 1988 at Liberal, Kansas to Michael Wayne Hopson and Deb Hopson Hvarven. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Perryton, Texas where she was an honor star in the Missionette Program. June 2004, she and her family moved to Russellville, Arkansas where she attended Russellville High School and was a consumer at Star Industries. She graduated high school in 2007. August 2009 the family moved to Dardanelle and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Dardanelle where she was baptized on July 29, 2011. Nicole really loved the Lord and greatly anticipated that first face to face encounter. She participated in the Equestrian Zone Therapy Program and she loved playing bingo with her grandmother and her friends at Southlawn apartments. Nicole never met a stranger. She loved people and helping others and she stole the heart of everyone she met. She also loved cats and will be greatly missed by Lucky and Punk. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vernon Hopson, Genie Hopson Holsted and her cousin Shay Lyn Ward.

Survivors include her mother, Deb Hvarven of Dardanelle, father, Michael Hopson of Texas; Grandparents, Joyce Ward of Russellville, Arkansas and Don Ward Sr. of Hiawatha, Kansas; one sister, Stacy Rich and Husband Cody of Perryton, Texas; one brother, Jeff Wells of Clay Center, Kansas; three nieces, Afton, Diondra and Jaelyn Rich all of Perryton, Texas and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00A.M., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Dardanelle First Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Eric Martin officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, at Clay Center, Kansas.

Pallbearers will be Bear Patillo, Jimmy Estala, Allen Robberson, Chris Turic, Steve Parkhurst, Howard Binkley.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to Arkansas Childrens Hospital, 1 Childrens Way, Slot 661, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
